Today, right now, you can go get yourself the latest issue of Brian K Vaughan and Marcos Martin’s fantastic digital series, “Private Eye.” I know David covered this in Rundown. I don’t care. Honestly — stop reading this, go buy it. Come back when you’re done.

Now that you’re done reading, I’ll ask: did you remember to read the backmatter? Because if you did not, you missed a bit of news about the series that is probably relevant to your interest:

In which BKV notes that the next issue — #5 — is the halfway point, which further hints that by #10 “Private Eye” will be over.

Look, we don’t be the website that cried Series End! again, but this felt noteworthy to share. For those of you who are as stoked on “Private Eye” as we are — and really, why shouldn’t you be? the book is brilliant!! — then I suppose it helps to know that we’re heading towards a finale of 10 issues.

Who knows what comes next? Fingers crossed for a print collection of some kind. Either way, strap in because it’s going to be a helluva ride.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
