Hey, did you guys know that in July, there’s going to be a Captain America movie? No? Well, I guess it’s a good thing that we’re telling you now, because come March Marvel will be releasing a whole slew of brand new Captain America specials just in time for you to start loving the character!

Five specials will be coming out come March, all from various writer and artist teams. Each issue will be 40 pages at $3.99, so it’s a pretty good deal for a comic (although how much of that will be ads is up in the air). The list for titles is as follows:

  • Captain America and Falcon, by Rob Williams Rebekah Isaacs
  • Captain America and the First Thirteen by Kathryn Immonen and Ramon Perez
  • Captain America and Crossbones by William Harms and Declan Shalvey
  • Captain America and Batroc by Kieron Gillen and Renato Arlem
  • Captain America and the Secret Avengers by Kelly Sue DeConnick and Greg Tocchini

It’s an eclectic mix of some rather great smaller talents (the names Kieron Gillen, Declan Shalvey and Rebekah Isaacs say “instant buy” to us), and this certainly looks to be a fun set of comic books with an impressive set of interlocking covers by Greg Tocchini.

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
