Marvel Announces A Zombie Christmas Carol

Yes, seriously.

It looks like, in the proud tradition of Marvel’s various adaptations of literature with the Trojan War, Pride and Prejudice, Emma, and even the Stand and Ender’s Game, Marvel will be putting out an adaptation of Charles Dicken’s Christmas Carol – except with zombies. Kind of a money grab here, don’t you think? I suppose after the success of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, anything goes. On top of that, Jim McCann (credited here for his Archaia graphic novel and not his various Marvel work) will be doing the writing of it, with no word on who the artist is. Although I’d imagine the work is more relevant now, it’ll be out in Spring time once Christmas is past and the sun is shining brightly out once again on the blooming flowers.

I suppose that’s fun. Whatever works, right?

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
