So, looks like the second-chance hero is getting a second movie.

Announced this morning on Marvel.com, Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang will be getting a sequel film after the success of Ant-Man this summer, which earned a global revenue of $409.8 million. And it looks like this movie will be a duo film as Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), daughter of the original Ant-Man, Hank Pym, and Lang’s wife, Janet Van Dyne, will suit up as the much, much anticipated Wasp.

The movie is set to premiere on July 6, 2018. This has caused some other Marvel movies in Phase 3 to shift around. In particular, Black Panther will be moving up to February 16, 2018 and Captain Marvel will be moved back to March 8, 2019. This leaves some concern because, while yes it’s nice to see a female character share title billing, it means that Marvel Studio’s first and only female-led solo movie has been pushed back even further after scheduling had to be changed to incorporate a new Spider-Man film.

Marvel Studios has also announced dates for three, as of writing, untitled Marvel movies for May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020, and November 6, 2020.
