In easily the biggest non-Wonder Woman news of the Convention thus far, Marvel has announced three new Star Wars series: “Star Wars” from Jason Aaron and John Cassaday, “Star Wars: Darth Vader” by Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca, and “Star Wars: Princess Leia,” a five issue miniseries from Mark Waid and Terry Dodson. Comic Book Resources has all the pertinent details, although release dates are still unknown.

The two ongoings take place in between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, each focusing on a different side of the conflict. It is not revealed, initially, when the Leia-centric book takes place, storywise.

Little more is known about the series, but with those creative teams on that property, people have every right to be very, very excited. Stay tuned for more news as it breaks.
