Marvel Brings Atonement (Without McAvoy and Knightley) to NYCC

In today’s entry to Marvel’s series of Phase Two teaser whatchamacallits, we get “Atonement” (not to be confused with the book/film that I really enjoyed) by Nathan Edmondson and Phil Noto. It’s being brought to the Avengers panel at NYCC as the latest of new #1s, and I’m going to wager a guess that this one is also pretty easy to figure out.

Because, well, there’s only one Avenger who is obsessed with atonement, right? Someone with red in their ledger? And there’s that rumor that we’ve been spreading that Phase Two has more plans for female-led books.

Wouldn’t you like to see Phil Noto draw the Black Widow? I know I would.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
