It’s been in the works for some time now, but it looks like Marvel’s big MMO is finally ready to be shown off a bit.

Originally developed by Cryptic Studios and being cancelled in 2008, Marvel’s MMO plans saw a resurrgence a year later when Gazillion Entertainment signed a deal with Marvel to produce games for them along with Secret Identity Studios. The return of their MMO, now with a fancy Unreal Engine, will be similar to their Super Hero Squad online game and will allow players to do battle in famous Marvel locales as well as take control of some of their favorite Marvel heroes in battle against Doctor Doom, who has apparently got himself the Cosmic Cube (or Tesseract, for you movie fans) in a story penned by Brian Michael Bendis himself.

Take a watch of the video above and check out Marvel.com for more details.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
