Age of X is an upcoming storyline by Mike Carey that crosses between New Mutants and X-Men Legacy that we’re all very excited for. However, it focuses solely on the mutants, without much attention paid to the rest of the Marvel U.
So how does Marvel rectify this? With a short two issue tie-in by Simon Spurrier with art by Khoi Pham, that’s how! As the press release reads, “In a world without X-Men…a world without hope, what side do the Earth’s Mightiest stand on? See the story of Marvel’s greatest heroes through new eyes as the future of mankind is decided in Age Of X Universe #1!” And boy, do those silhouttes look more easily recognizable than the previous Age of X cover, eh?
The issue is set to drop in March for $3.99. You might know Spurrier from his recently awesome X-Club issues that tied into Second Coming and the whole X-Men vampire thing, and Pham you’ll recognize from Mighty Avengers or the recent Chaos War event. Either way, you’ll be sure to hear more about this issue from us come March.
