Marvel Gears Up New Point Ones For Marvel Now!

In a teaser sent out promoting the upcoming Cup O’ Joe Panel at SDCC (where more Marvel Now! titles will assumedly be revealed), it has also been shown that Marvel is preparing to roll out a slew of new Point Ones to go along with it. These issues will assumedly be put out to prepare and help initiate people for all the various changes coming up in Marvel’s “don’t call it a reboot” relaunch.

For those who don’t remember, the Point One initiative was designed to give new readers an easy and knowledgeable place to hop into the continuity of ongoing titles. There were some great successes, like Parker and Hardman’s “Hulk” #30.1, and then there were some less successful ones. However, in terms of Marvel Now!, it seems a pretty obvious move to utilize that for all the books that will see some kind of relaunch.

And, hey, isn’t that Nick Fury Jr in that image? I wonder if he’s getting his own book with Coulson. Perhaps a Marvel Buddy Cop book is in order! Either way, if you’re a Marvel fan, I hope you’ve got some money in the bank saved up.

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
