As revealed at EW, it looks like Marvel is going to be creating a new touring arena show to start next July. In a partnership between Marvel and Feld Entertainment (the same company that does Disney on Ice), the show will feature character-based stories starring “all” your favorite Marvel characters, as well as “state of the art special effects, pyrotechnics, aerial displays, and martial arts.”

So, Cirque de Soliel, Marvel style! Lets just hope it goes more smoothly than Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.

It’s still a year away, so don’t get too excited about it. But with DC’s Batman arena show and the weird existence of Marvel’s first musical, it’ll be interesting to see the reception to this show. At the very least, it’ll probably be awesome for any young kids you know who just loved The Avengers.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
