Marvel Looks to the FUTURE With Latour and Asrar [Updated]

In the latest distribution of Marvel one-word teasers, we now have the word “FUTURE” assigned to former “Winter Soldier” scribe Jason Latour and recent Marvel hire Mahmud Asrar, a heck of a team if ever there was one.

No particular clue on what this one might be leaning towards, although the color scheme of the word Future does remind me of MODOK a whole lot. If this were an AIM book starring George Tarleton where AIM tries to actually go legit and their island becomes a hub of positive creativity, I think I might just have to buy two copies on principle alone.

Update: Or maybe it’s a “Wolverine and the X-Men” relaunch? Jason Latour and Jason Aaron are writing partners on the digital Wolverine comic and collaborators on “Southern Bastards”. It’d make sense for Latour to take over for Aaron, right? More sense than a Latour/Asrar MODOK book, anyway.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
