Summer 2015. “Secret Wars.” “Civil War.” “Age of Ultron” vs “Marvel Zombies.” “Years of Future Past.” “Planet Hulk.” “Armor Wars.” “House of M.” “Infinity Gauntlet.” “Old Man Logan.” “Inhumans: Attilan Rising.” “Ultimate Universe: The End.” “Age of Apocalypse.” “Future Imperfect.” “Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows.”

And today? “Avengers vs X-Men,” via Marvel’s Twitter account, with art by Skottie Young.

It would probably help if there were more than two X-Men in that teaser, right? That’s a tough fight.

During last week’s edition of Axel-in-Charge, here is all that Axel Alonso said about the teasers:

Speaking of major Marvel events — for the last two weeks, folks have certainly been speculating about these event-based teasers that have been rolling out daily, with the latest debuting earlier today on CBR and teasing an end to the Ultimate Universe. The general consensus appears to be that it’s tied to the new “Secret Wars” somehow, but what can you say about the teasers at this point?

Alonso: What I can say is that none of these teasers are for “What If?” stories. These stories really happen. And they happen in real-time — they’re not flashbacks. They count.

Marvel has yet to reveal what these all are, but even with a zillion more events they can re-create I imagine it’ll be announced soon. In the meantime, we’ll just keep posting the single images because we know you love them. Feel free to continue speculating what these are all about in the comments as inspiration finds you.

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
