The closest we can get to the truth behind this is an old “Fantastic Four” storyline, ‘Atlantis Rising’ that also featured the Inhumans. Given the updated use of the imagery, though, it is noteworthy that this is a much more different spin on the otherwise Greatest Hits line-up we’ve been given for Marvel’s previous old event-related imagery.
Marvel has yet to reveal what these all are, but even with a zillion more events they can re-create I imagine it’ll be announced soon. In the meantime, we’ll just keep posting the single images because we know you love them. Feel free to continue speculating what these are all about in the comments as inspiration finds you.
