Summer 2015. “Secret Wars.” “Civil War.” “Age of Ultron” vs “Marvel Zombies.” “Years of Future Past.”

And today? “Planet Hulk,” revealed on CBR and illustrated by Mukesh Singh.

Of course, those of you that remember and revere “Planet Hulk” like I do will know that this image doesn’t look anything like what “Planet Hulk” was. While all previous teasers have seemed to have something to do with the event that it alludes to, this one is just pretty bugnuts crazy, with a ton of different hulks all ganging up on a John Carter-esque Captain America who is emerging out of Devil Dinosaur’s mouth because comics. Certainly escalates the weird bi-polar nature of these teasers as we’ve gone from speculating about a reboot to now just wondering where the heck we are and why we don’t have more comics with a shirtless Captain America fighting monsters with an axe. We’ve been wasting so much time!

Also, Hulk Hogan Hulk.

As for what these teasers mean, you can see any of the previous posts for a multitude of potential theories. I’m done guessing at this point, though; just give me a shirtless Cap wielding an axe and lets call it a day.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
