The House of Ideas had a relatively quiet New York Comic Con, focusing mainly on the television end of their output. Here is Marvel brought to the Big Apple.

Iron Fist will officially debut on Netflix on March 17, 2017. See the first trailer here.

Black Panther has added Forest Whitaker to the cast, somehow making an awesome cast even better.

– Marvel and ABC News are launching a comic together, set in the Syrian Civil War. This will be doubtlessly better than any other Marvel comic with ‘Civil War’ in its description.

– Miss America Chavez is getting her own series next year, just in time for her creators to launch their very similar Image series.

– Sigourney Weaver has been cast as the big bad of The Defenders Netflix series.

– Deborah Ann Woll will return as Karen Page in The Punisher.

– There’s going to be a new Spider-Man animated series, and Dan Slott will be a consulting producer on it.

– Jemaine Clement has joined Fox’s Legion show.

– It appears that Marvel may be developing a new Blade project.

– Will Murray, Squirrel Girl’s co-creator, will return to the series next year for its 25th anniversary.

– “Deadpool the Duck” is essentially the most Marvel book I can imagine,, and it is coming in 2017.

– Hayley Atwell will be returning to the role of Agent Carter, via Marvel animation.

– And, finally, both Sam Alexander and Richard Rider will co-star in Marvel’s new Nova series.
