We told you so!. Okay, okay, serious time. So, Marvel finally pulled back the cloth on the vaguely teased “Hunger” miniseries, coming from Joshua Hale Fialkov and Leonard Kirk, at a Next Big Thing livechat. CBR has the full coverage of the livechat and was able to reveal details of the series. Spinning out of the climax of “Age Of Ultron” #1, Fialkov and Kirk’s “Hunger” is the first crossover between the Ultimate and the Marvel universe as the Marvel universe Galactus infiltrates the Ultimate universe.

Who’s got ten bucks that this is what this was leading to.

But enough of our theories, let’s get to the nitty gritty. “Hunger” will feature Rick Jones of the ultimate universe as the protagonist and the one to first see Galactus in the Ultimate universe. And it all likely goes downhill from there as Miles Morales joins in on the fray as the “lynchpin” between the universe (*cough*) as well as the Silver Surfer and Ultimate Captain Marvel. This looks to be a major dust up over four issues that will do some lasting damage to the Ultimate Universe. Damage enough to end the Ultimate Universe, perhaps? We’ll see.

For more information on “Hunger” as well as Angela’s involvement in “Guardians Of The Galaxy” and more on upcoming “Ultimate Spider-Man” issues, head over to CBR for the comprehensive breakdown of the livechat. Alice W. Castle

Sworn to protect a world that hates and fears her, Alice W. Castle is a trans femme writing about comics. All things considered, it’s going surprisingly well. Ask her about the unproduced Superman films of 1990 - 2006. She can be found on various corners of the internet, but most frequently on Twitter: @alicewcastle
