Today at Marvel, there was a pretty major shake up at the top, as long time editor extraordinaire Axel Alonso has been elevated from Vice President, Executive Editor to his new position of Editor-in-Chief for all of Marvel. What does that mean for previous EIC Joe Quesada?
Joey Q will be the Geoff Johns of the House of Ideas, as he will continue on as Chief Creative Officer, “overseeing Marvel’s creative endeavors in film, television, publishing, digital and more.”
Alonso has long been one of the biggest proponents of Marvel’s creative spirit, and to see him take over an even greater role is an exciting one. Congratulations to Alonso, Quesada, and the rest of Marvel, and best of luck going forward.
