And here I was thinking I was praying to the reflektor. (Hipster rimshot goes here.)

Announced in the form of one of their teasers that Marvel likes to send out, a new book is on the schedule for February featuring someone coming back to life, Kris Anka and Brian Wood. Little more than that is given, but you can put some of the clues together I’m sure.

I quite like the work of Kris Anka so I’d be interested to see what this turns out to be. Given the fire-y color scheme and Wood’s “X-Men” book (as well as general tendency to write female characters), my initial guess would be something to do with that Jean Grey everyone is talking about, pending her past-self’s trial in “All New X-Men” and “Guardians.”

But there are lots of dead characters, so anything is possible. Heck, if we’re right, there’s about to be a whole dead universe, one that Wood used to write for. Plenty of dead fish in the sea, so to say.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
