Marvel Teases All-New Marvel NOW! With “Trial”

After announcing Marvel NOW! Phase Two — or “All-New Marvel NOW!”, which will be the last time I write that here — it was teased that more big things were coming to allow Marvel to once again make some waves. Whether it be from “exciting new arcs” or flat-out relaunches, Marvel NOW!’s original goal was to offer up New 52-style entry points without doing anything like the New 52 (or, as Brian put it yesterday, by stealing all DC’s former mojo).

Now, in advance of NYCC, Marvel has begun teasing what is coming with their Phase Two initiative, starting with “TRIAL” by Bendis and Immonen. Bendis and Immonen were the launch team for “All-New X-Men”, though it was teased that Immonen would be a rotating artist in order to allow the book more double shipping. So the question is, is this a tease for a new book, or just what’s next in “All-New X-Men”?

Bendis’ load is pretty large as it is. I’m going to guess that this is going to be in relation to some ‘Battle of the Atom’ fallout, with Immonen back on the book.

Let us know what you think this is in the comments below.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
