Marvel Teases Some Kind Of Avengers Related Something

Because it’s September and it’s time for a new batch of Marvel teases for books to buy in December, the above teaser has been handed out for our viewing pleasure here on the world wide web.

No notes were given about what the image is, but given it’s relation to the Avengers and the crosshairs placed on them, it’s safe to say that it is, you know, Avengers related. One theoretical guess is that it ties into everything Brian Bendis has been teasing in the Avengers, what with the impending Ultron War as well as the return of Norman Osborn and the Dark Avengers, but it’s also possible that this is somehow related to Captain America’s curious dream and Ed Brubaker’s teased secret project.

We could also go with something a bit more literal and say that the Avengers are in the crosshairs of the X-Men post-Schism, and some not-so-friendly stuff is about to go down between the two supergroups. Anything is possible and/or plausible.

Marvel promises answers will be given tomorrow at 3PM EST in what we can only assume will be a liveblog, so stay tuned for more from us then.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
