Marvel Teases Spider-MEN (And It’s Probably Something Ultimate)

Arriving in our inbox mere seconds ago with no additional information, the above image features a mash-up of the new Ultimate Spider-Man’s logo and the rather famous Spider-Man logo (and cover to Ultimate Spider-Man #160) into one, with a June 2012 release date attached.

The last time Marvel teased something big and vague with Spider-Man, it turned out to be about Ultimate Spider-Man, so with Bendis tweeting about the image, it seems likely that the return of Ultimate Peter Parker is nigh. It’s the Ultimate Universe after all — anything’s possible!

Keep your eyes peeled and you ears open, but remember you heard it here first: Ultimate Peter Parker. Miles Morales. Kicking ass and taking names together in June 2012.

(And remember to give full credit to Walter Richardson, who pointed out the Ultimate Spider-Man #160 cover to me — which, really, should’ve been obvious, but somehow wasn’t. Walt is the best.)

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
