Marvel’s FF Isn’t Over Yet

Looks like the rumors are true: Marvel and Jonathan Hickman are splitting FF and Fantastic Four into two books, one to feature Marvel’s first family and one to feature the kids (exactly like we theorized).

Starting with issue #12, Hickman will be joined by Juan Bobillo, whose work can currently be seen with Christos Gage in Astonishing X-Men’s “Meanwhile.” It’s nice to know that, for fans who have been following Hickman’s saga, we aren’t just going to be tossed aside as Marvel hits an anniversary and sees a good opportunity to throw some kind of celebration of – …well, some kind. Of course, with those of you who can’t afford both books, you’re probably pretty peeved right now.

However, this makes it clear what Hickman’s role as a Marvel Architect is: not only is he the pilot of the ship Fantastic, but he’s shaping the future heroes. So that’s something to look forward to.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
