After losing the ability to produce a special 10-disc limited edition Marvel box set by not getting a proper license to manufacture a specific brand of briefcase, Marvel’s Phase One box set is now back — briefcase and all.

As shown on Marvel.com, the Phase One Collection will be released in April with blu-ray versions of every Marvel Studios movie so far, all contained within a briefcase that holds the Tesseract. Special features include dossiers on the Avengers and a bonus disc with new deleted and extended scenes alongside featurettes, as well as an Iron Man 3 sneak peek and some other Phase Two teases (so, Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor 2, Cap 2).

There’s also a new clip on Marvel’s site with a “blink and you miss it” reference from Thor, except you’d be blinking with your ears. You get it. Just watch the clip:

SWORD, eh? So, OK, let’s do the math here: Thanos + Guardians of the Galaxy + mysterious new character in GotG from Earth who sounds like Carol Danvers + SWORD = Cosmic Phase 2 and Avengers 2. Something like that.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
