In what can only be called the most ostensibly random and perhaps shocking news drop that has snuck under the cracks of, well, everything, writer Chuck Palahniuk has revealed a brand new detail to that “Fight Club” graphic novel sequel he announced some time ago — that writer Matt Fraction is “advising” on it.

Revealed on the official fansite of Palahniuk’s, Chuck writes,

The graphic novel “script” for the Fight Club sequel has gone off to the writer Matt Fraction and to an unnamed publisher for review. Matt writes his own series, called “Sex Criminals” and does very well. He’s been my go-to advisor about format and other considerations of graphic scripts. I’ll be choosing an illustrator based on their response to the script. The sequel will consist of seven issues, totally more than 210 pages. Fingers crossed. – Chuck

To which Matt casually replied on Twitter,

2013 was a pretty huge year of Fraction, but it looks like the 8th printing of “Sex Criminals” #1 now has a new book to add as a credit near the top. So huge congrats to Matt Fraction on the gig, and our excitement for the book has now tripled. I am Jack’s unbridled anticipation, etc.

Now who wants to take a guess at the publisher? Anyone? I‘d love to take a guess, but I imagine you readers might have some good ideas too, right? (I assume, anyway.)

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
