Today on Twitter, Jeff Lemire posed a simple equation: “@mattkindt + natepowell + @emibot = SWEET TOOTH 19 ?”, which to indie/web comic book nerds like myself and fellow MCers meant “GOLDMINE!”

Confirmation was needed, of course. So I reached out via Twitter to Emi, to which she responded she would indeed be working on Sweet Tooth, which is arguably the coolest news I’ve heard so far this week.

As far as I can tell, issue 19 will be solicited in two months time for March, so keep your eyes open! Also, take a look at Emi’s Sweet Tooth art with this post, and go to Jeff Lemire’s blog to see what Matt Kindt did back April! It’s certainly going to be a very interesting collaborative piece for one of the best Vertigo comics out there at the moment.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
