As revealed at Entertainment Weekly today, the adaptation of Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons’ “The Secret Service” is getting a new title, care of the director (and story-partner) Matthew Vaughn. It is now entitled Kingsman: the Secret Service.

It’s not that big of a change, but it’s probably a more platable one oddly enough. It is perhaps worth noting that, according to Amazon, the collected edition is called “The Secret Service: Kingsman,” so it’s not like this is really all that far off from the original title; however, telling people about the film Kingsman rolls off the tongue a bit more — and making “the Secret Service” part just a secondary name certainly opens up for more witty sequel titles than The Secret Service 2.

Oh, and there’s this new trailer just released. Take a look:

Not going to lie, though: I’m mainly posting this as an excuse to put all these dapper pictures of Colin Firth up on the site. Because, seriously — just look at these:

There are more photos over at Entertainment Weekly, but only the Firth ones are really worth talking about.

The film, slated for an October 24th release, stars a really impressive cast, including Colin Firth, Michael Caine, Samuel L. Jackson, Taron Egerton, Mark Strong, and Jack Davenport (all rather noteworthy names if you’re a big fan of BBC programming, to say the least).

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
