You read that right. Acclaimed novelist (and comic fan) Michael Chabon – of The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay and The Yiddish Policeman Union’s fame – will be involved with Casanova’s fourth volume.
The baby of Matt Fraction, Fabio Moon and Gabriel Ba (and Dustin Harbin and Cris Peter), this book is perpetually one of the most exciting and innovative books in comics, and the idea of Chabon to join the fun (writing a back-up illustrated by Ba) in the fourth volume that will be written by Fraction and illustrated by Moon is so exciting that, well, some people thought it was an April Fool’s joke.
But it’s not. Because April Fool’s is dumb and Casanova is awesome. Expect it in 2013, according to Fraction’s blog post.
