Writer Michael Moreci has reportedly signed an extensive multi-project, multimedia deal with independent comics publisher Vault Comics. The writer has gained fame in recent years for his work on corporate-owned properties like Star Wars and DC Comics’ “Detective Comics,” as well as his creator-owned endeavors like the Vault Comics published “Wasted Space.”

As part of the deal, Moreci will work with the audiobook publisher GraphicAudio to assemble a full-cast adaptation of the first two arcs of “Wasted Space.” He will also team with writer/artist Tim Seeley (“Hack/Slash”) and writer Eliot Rahal (“Hot Lunch Special”) on a tie-in comic for the upcoming video game Drifters. Moreci will also work on all-new projects for the publisher – including a collaboration with a high-profile screenwriter.

Vault Comics’ editor-in-chief, Adrian Wassal, released a statement about Moreci and the deal, saying, “Simply put, Michael Moreci is among the most talented, dedicated, and versatile storytellers working today […] Moreci has recently found a new voice — his voice — unlike anything in the market today.”

Moreci released his own statement regarding the deal, saying, “Becoming part of the Vault family has been a transformative experience in my life. Their faith in me and passion for work has not only brought me a lot of happiness, but it’s also made me a better writer.”
