For those that don’t remember, Dark Horse recently set out in a new initiative with DH:HD, in which the company teams up with USA Today to bring you some digital comics! Today, the first one arrived: Hellboy – The Whittier Legacy!

The first in a five part series, Whittier Legacy is a “good old monster story” that draws inspiration from HP Lovecraft. It’ll be presented exclusively through the DH:HD initiative, with part one available now. Of course, what makes it truly wonderful is that for the first time in quite a while, Mignola is handling both writing and arting duties! While we all assuredly love Duncan Fegredo on the recent books, having Mignola back on Hellboy is better than Campbell’s Soup (mm, mm, good!)

Go check out the comic here and keep on the lookout for more of this story quite soon.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
