Welcome to June’s Mignolaversity News Update, bringing you the latest solicitations and news from the past month.
• Paste Magazine announced the next arc of “Joe Golem: Occult Detective,” one that should be familiar to those that read the original prose book: ‘The Drowning City.’ This is gonna be a big one that’ll change everything. “Baltimore” artist, Peter Bergting, and colorist, Michelle Madsen, will be taking over art duties from Patric Reynolds and Dave Stewart. Dark Horse was also kind enough to share an exclusive look at Dave Palumbo’s cover for next year’s collection.
• Mike Mignola spoke to io9 about Hellboy and the upcoming film.
• The 2018 Hellboy Universe Reading Order is up on the site now.
• Editor Katii O’Brien did a list of defining Hellboy moments for 13th Dimension.
• Looks like there’s a new Funko Pop coming…
• Chris Roberson did a bunch of interviews about “Witchfinder: The Gates of Heaven.” I’ve marked the goods ones in bold. He spoke to Comic Buzz, Comicon, Impulse Gamer, the Horror News Network, Fanbase Press, and First Comic News. Roberson also mentions that “Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: 1956” (coming later this year) will feature both new and familiar artists.
• Alpha Rookie did a video recapping Hellboy’s journey and what makes it so great.
• There’s so much art this month, it’s ridiculous. Let’s kick things off with Mike Mignola himself. There’s quite a few, picked up from Twitter and Facebook.

• Stephen Green’s been posting a few pieces on Twitter too.

• Sebastián Fiumara wrapped up his work on “B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know,” and shared some of his inks to mark the occasion.

• Max Fiumara shared his cover process for “B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know” #9.

• Paolo Rivera’s been sharing his process again on his blog. (Incidentally, the sketchbook section in “Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: 1955” is excellent. Rivera, Shawn Martinbrough, and Brian Churilla were all very generous with their process images and notes.)
• Duncan Fegredo won’t stop drawing Hellboy and it’s awesome.

• And now that “Koshchei the Deathless” is finished, Ben Stenbeck has been doing a bunch of commissions…
