The only thing more exciting than pitting Hellboy against this Satanic spin on Santa is the team-up of Mike Mignola and Adam Hughes.

    Now, on to the news…

Yesterday the “Hellboy: Into the Silent Sea” (Studio Edition) Kickstarter launched. We’ll be talking a little more about this book later this month, so keep your eyes open.

Crave Online has a look at the final “Baltimore” collection coming out next month. It looks like it’s going to have an absolutely fantastic sketchbook section, complete with “Li’l Baltimore.”

Hellboy is getting a line of Pop! vinyl figures from Funko. Best of all, these will be based on the comics, not the films.

    • There were a bunch of interviews following the release of Hellboy: An Assortment of Horrors: Editor Christopher Golden talked to Cemetery Dance, “Her Red Right Hand” author Paul Tremblay talked to Comicon, and “The Promised Smile” author Rio Youers talked Horror News Network.

Shawn Martinbrough talked to the Washington Post about his one-shot issue of “Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.”

Previews World spoke to Troy Nixey about the upcoming rerelease of “Jenny Finn.”

    • And Laurence Campbell talked to Horror News Network about “B.P.R.D. The Devil You Know.”

Hellboy paperback omnibuses are on the way, recollecting all the Hellboy stories in chronological order. The first one comes out Summer 2018. One of the covers was also sold as a print at the Rose City Comic Con.

    • Also, if you love process pieces, check out Pablo Rivera’s blog to see his cover work on “Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.:1955—Occult Intelligence” #1.

    • Right, it’s time for film news. Penelope Mitchell has joined the film as Ganeida, a witch for seen briefly in “The Wild Hunt” and “The Fury.”

    • Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably heard that Ed Skrein was cast as Ben Daimio, then a week later exited the film due to whitewashing concerns, and now it appears that Daniel Dae Kim will be taking up the role.

    • After all that drama, you probably need a palette cleanser. So enjoy Happy Sad Confused talking to David Harbour about the upcoming Hellboy film among other things.
