Why does the Chaos God want to start a Chaos War? What is his side of the story? That’s what Brandon Montclare has set out to tell in a recently announced one-shot entitled Chaos King.

Solicited for November, Chaos God will bring forth the gods of Zenn-La as well as the Impossible Man to do their best in stopping Mikaboshi. What does Mikaboshi want? To drive the universe into chaos, of course. The Chaos King will actually be the hero of the story in a curious twist. The book is not only Montclare’s debut after a successful editing career at Vertigo, but it will also feature Michael William Kaluta from Vertigo’s Madame Xanadu.

Marvel is really pushing out the Chaos War stories, which actually shows an incredible amount of faith in the title. Not every smaller event gets tie-ins (see: Doomwar and the Thanos Imperative). Clearly Marvel wants to really push Chaos War, so we get all these titles. As to if these will be good or not is of course up in the air still, but one thing is for sure – in a couple months, it will be chaos!

Chaos? THIS! IS! MARRRRVVELLLLLLL!!!!!

Ok, sorry. That probably wasn’t that funny.

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
