Announced today from Marvel, it looks like X-Men Legacy’s post-Schism arc will be Mike Carey’s final arc, which is sad news bears for fans everywhere. Mike Carey has been writing the book for six years now, seeing the title through every major post House Of M shake-up and writing one of the most celebrated runs in the X-Men’s history with a bevvy of talented artists.

Now as the Regenesis rears it’s head, it looks like it’s time to say goodbye to Carey and his story with one last story, starring Rogue and friends and illustrated by Khoi Pham. Who those friends are is up in the air at the moment (although the familiar silhouette of Gambit can be seen), but we’ll assumedly have more news for you when Marvel’s solicits go up.

Keep your eyes peeled for some additional Regenesis speculation later today.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
