Mike Choi has earned esteem from our writing staff both for his work on Craig Kyle and Chris Yost’s “X-Force” and especially how well he handled the deaths in the big X-Over “Second Coming.” Choi’s art is remarkably clean but emotive at the same time, so when we first heard that he was putting together a creator-owned work titled “CHOMPERSTOMPERS,” our ears perked up.
Now, the first three pages of the series (that he is working with Sonia Oback and Mary H.K. Choi on) are up online, and they’re a doozy. The series seems to track a trio of people, alive during the zombie apocalypse, who are profiting from the Earth’s misfortunes by killing zombies on a reality television show. I don’t think I need to tell you this, but that is an AWESOME concept with an equally awesome beginning based off the pages I’ve seen.
The CHOMPERSTOMPERS Twitter page will be linking to new stories, all of which will be online only and three pages at a time released two times monthly.
Congrats to Team CHOMPERSTOMPERS, and I can’t wait to see more. You can find the second and third pages of it after the jump.
