A year ago, before the first ever Kapow! Comic Con, Mark Millar teased that he and legendary artist Dave Gibbons would be teaming up together to be working on a creator owned title for Millarworld. Granted, Millar saying that he would be working with (insert insanely talented artist here) has become somewhat par for course for the creator, but it was an intriguing tease nevertheless.

Now we’ve learned that the official title will be revealed and teased in this week’s Superior #6, out tomorrow. The book is already optioned for a film by Matthew Vaughan, but unlike other Millar books that are optioned before the books come out, this title was actually co-created with Vaughan for the purposes of being both a comic and a film.

Whether this is Millar giving a legit attempt to create a cross-media story or just doing what he always does is yet to be seen, but the project is set for a tentative February 2012 release. Stay tuned tomorrow when we learn more.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
