Dark Horse Comics has announced two new licensed books coming this October, “Minecraft Volume 2” and “Stranger Things: The Bully.” “Minecraft Volume 2,” from writer Sfe M. and artist Sarah Graley, picks up where “Minecraft Volume 1” left off, following the adventures of Tyler, Evan, Candace, Tobi, and Grace in Minecraft’s EverRealm. This time the gang runs into trouble with pirates on their way to an ocean monument. “Minecraft Volume 2” is actually Dark Horse’s fourth “Minecraft” collection. As well as Sfe M. and Sarah Graley’s “Minecraft Volume 1,” they’ve also published Kristen Gudsnuk’s “Minecraft: Wither Without You” and the anthology “Minecraft: Stories from the Overworld.”
Dark Horse has been releasing “Stranger Things” books for a while now, with three miniseries (“The Other Side,” “SIX,” and “Into the Fire”) from writer Jody Houser with various artists, and an original graphic novel, “Stranger Things: Zombie Boys,” by writer Greg Pak and artist Valeria Favoccia. Now there’s a new graphic novel on the way, “Stranger Things: The Bully,” reuniting Pak and Favoccia for a story that sees Troy (the titular bully) and his friend James encounter demodogs.
“Stranger Things: The Bully” is currently scheduled for an October 13 release in book stores with “Minecraft Volume 2” following on October 20. Check out the full story over at the School Library Journal.
