“M.O.D.O.K.: Head Games” creators Patton Oswalt, Jordan Blum, and Scott Hepburn are reteaming on a new, original supervillain story, “Minor Threats,” at Dark Horse Comics next month. The miniseries follows a group of small-time villains from the city of Twilight, who decide to claim the bounty on Stickman, the fiend responsible for the murder of the premier superhero Insomniac’s sidekick Kid Dusk. We are pleased to present an exclusive first look at Hepburn’s cover for issue #3, due out October 26.

Letterering by Nate PiekosThe Minor Threats uncover a promising lead to the Stickman’s whereabouts which draws them into a wild goose chase across the most dangerous parts of Twilight City’s super-criminal underworld. Can our blue-collar villains survive fallen kaijus, neighborhood-encompassing time anomalies and a (very one-sided) confrontation with the god-like hero the Searcher? Well, folks, there’s only one surefire way to find out!
Thanks to Dark Horse for the artwork and solicit, and be sure to pre-order a copy from your local comic book store soon. “Minor Threats” #1 and #2 will bow respectively in the meantime on August 24, and September 28: be sure to pick up the comic – either safely in a store, or digitally – then!
