MIT Press, a university press focused on science and technology, has partnered with Einhorn’s Epic Productions to produce “The Curie Society,” a graphic novel that will introduce “an international secret society of young female scientists.”

The new OGN will be written by Blue Delliquanti, the creator of the webcomic “O Human Star,” and edited by Joan Hilty, who is known for her work at DC Comics and Vertigo Comics. No artist has been announced yet.
Created by EEP’s Heather Einhorn and Adam Staffaroni, “The Curie Society” is intended to become much more than just a graphic novel. Television rights have been obtained by Scooter Braun’s SB Projects, and will be developed for the small screen shortly. EEP and MIT Press have also partnered with Massive, a science-media company, to develop a digital community under the name The Curie Society. That community will be especially tailored for scientists, educators, fans and students.
Press director Amy Brand said, “The MIT Press has a long and rich history of publishing impactful books by and about women in science, technology and mathematics. With this innovative partnership and concept, we are excited to extend that impact to a younger generation and broader population of readers.”
As of yet, there is no announced release date for “The Curie Society.”
