And with that, my little heart breaks.

Moon Knight, aka the the reunion of a champion duo doing what they do best, is ending officially at issue #12. While the full solicits haven’t been released properly, Marvel’s April comics have popped up on Midtown Comics, with the solicitation noting, “The Conclusion Of Marvel’s Maddest Mercenary Moon Knight Is Here!” Bendis then went on to confirm the ending on his message board, writing:

i look at it as a 12 issue maxi series that kicked incredible ass!! 😀 which was what me and alex were hired to do. i do wish it sold better and i do wish it was continuing with another team. but i wish that about every comic on earth.

but i am grateful we got to do our entire 12 issues. when you get to 12 you’ll see we got to tell our entire story uninterrupted which is very nice. and for you guys that supported it you’ll have a nice whole thing.

Bendis and Maleev will go back to work on their creator owned book with Scarlet, and I will personally go weep openly over the three cancelled series-worth of Moon Knight comics I’ve bought over the past few years.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
