As reported over at the Spire, apparently a new free, digital kid comic anthology will be launching on Friday over at Moose Kid Comics — and it’s apparently kicking off with an all-ages version of “Tank Girl.”

Just take a minute to pause, breathe that in, and remind yourself that the last “Tank Girl” book featured her in a giant cock rocket on the cover.

Yes, Alan Martin, co-creator of Tank Girl, as well as Warwick Johnson Cadwell will be teaming up for the New Adventures of Young Tankie. Both worked together on the humorous “Solid State Tank Girl” mini last year, so where this book fits into the overall “Tank Girl” canon is up in the air — though, truth be told, it’s largely irrelevant. Because, really, the story here is that there’s going to be a new, free, digital all-age comic book coming out this Friday. “Young Tank Girl” is simply part of it.

So Moose Kid Comics will have 36 pages of new characters, “fantastic artists” (with WJC I don’t doubt it) and more, all set up by Jamie Smart (“Fish Head Steve,” “Roger the Dodger”). Other reported artists working on the book will include Gary Northfield, Samantha Davies, LAura Howell and Viviane Schwarz.

The site launches this Friday. I’d recommend keeping this one in your bookmarks.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
