In a weird move of releasing a bunch of October news just a week after the full September solicits were revealed, and in addition to “Superman/Wonder Woman,” DC announced a few other news items today.

-“Lights Out,” the first crossover of the post-Geoff Johns era, hits the Green Lantern books in October. Very little, aside from this quickly photoshopped image was released, but surely details will be forthcoming in the next few months.

-Tom Taylor, writer of the “Injustice: Gods Among Us” digital comic, has been announced as the new writer for “Earth 2” as of #17, due in October. In an odd move, September’s “Earth 2” issues are labeled 15.1 and 15.2 – does this mean that the book is double shipping in October, or is #16 simple lost in the villains month scrum? The good news for all of us is that Nicola Scott is, indeed, staying on the book. MTV Geek has the exclusive announcement.
