Bad news, potential and current Morning Glories fans — the long awaited deluxe hardcover of the first twelve issues of Morning Glories has been delayed due to a printing error, as confirmed by series creators Nick Spencer and Joe Eisma on Twitter. Apparently there is a page in it missing a crucial dialogue balloon, but according to Spencer, you should be able to exchange it with your retailer if you happened to pick up one of these editions. Retailers have been asked to pull them off the racks, with full instructions on how to send them back in exchange for the new editions pending.
Hopefully this will be done and out on shelves before you know it. At the very least, if you did happen to get a copy, you have a collector’s item on your hands now. So there’s that, right?
There’s no need to fret if you need your Morning Glories fix now, however. The entire series should still be available in your local shop, and is also on ComiXology for digital users. In addition to that, the first two issues of the new arc are assuredly on shelves at your local retailer right now. You could also get the first two trade paperbacks right now online or in stores (the only major difference will be no Damon Lindelof introduction and no hardcover exclusive backmatter), and you can still pre-order the hardcover on Amazon if you wish — it’ll just take a bit longer to get you than originally assumed.
