Grant Morrison may be the new Editor in Chief for Heavy Metal but that isn’t stopping him from writing more superhero comics. Morrison announced at his DC Comics spotlight panel that he will be writing a new line of original graphic novels that follow up the groundwork he did in the much praised “The Multiversity”.The first graphic novel in “Multiversity Too” will focus on The Flash. Which Flash is not known yet and it’s tough to guess who based on all the different versions introduced in the initial miniseries.

He’ll also working another set of graphic novels entitled “Batman: Black & White”. This will be the same concept as the miniseries DC has put out over the years but will feature Morrison and a group of artists doing their take on Batman in short story format.

I really enjoyed “The Multiversity” and many of those issues left me wanting more. The problem here is that Morrison doesn’t have a great track record when it comes to getting these stories out there. We waited a very long time for “The Multiversity” and we still have no release date for that Wonder Woman book he was working on. With his new job at Heavy Metal, these may be out later than expected.
