Marvel posts a lot of videos on their YouTube account. I mean a lot. Interviews with creators, weekly previews and recs, trailers, etc. Not all of them are worth a “re-blog” as it were, but some definitely are as we’ve shown in the past. One video I watched this morning was great and absolutely worth putting up here for all you guys to see. It’s a video breaking down the process and inner workings of the motion comics. We’ve all formed our opinions on them by now assuredly, but it doesn’t mean that if you decided you don’t like it that it’s not an exciting new format worth some exploration.

In this video, big man on campus Joe Quesada, artist Alex Maleev, and animator Lance Sells all weigh in on how the motion comic works, the process, the ticks of it all. It’s a pretty interesting video even if you’re not a fan of the motion comics. Check it out at your convenience below!

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
