Ok, this is quite literally a HUGE week. I don’t know how so much happened, but it very quickly overwhelmed me. Therefore, instead of my usual round up, I present to you the blipped down versions. It’s quick, easy to read, and full of fun. Trust me. There’s a lot of great stuff in here.
- Over at Heat Vision, Scott Stewart talks about his adaptation of the comic book Priest, hot off the heels of his film Legion
- Over at Coming Soon Dot Net, Martin Campbell talks a lot about about the upcoming Green Lantern adaptation, and boys and girls, he knows his stuff! I am very excited for this movie, even if the movie right before that is a Mel Gibson flick I don’t plan on seeing.
- Avatar has knocked out The Dark Knight in the box office. Suck it, Batfans!
- AC/DC and Iron Man 2 have crossed over into one another. Seriously. I don’t quite it, but that’s ok!
- FYI toy fans: New Iron Man 2 toys have been announced by Hasbro.
- Because I didn’t hate it enough before, Empire Online has released new Kick-Ass covers. Oy. And then at a different website, Aaron Johnson annoys me even more.
- Sony Pictures Imageworks will be doing all the effects for the Green Lantern film, according to Variety.
- Guy Ritchie will not be doing the Lobo film. Oh. I’m so sad.
- Kevin Feige talks a bit about the upcoming Avengers films in SFX Magazine. According to him, the Hulk will definitely be included in the next film. And if there’s another Hulk movie, it’ll be after the Avengers film in 2011. Oh, and he wants to see Ant-Man, Doc Strange, and Iron Fist get movies. OH! And something odd about Thor.
- According to an interview at Splash Page, Reynolds is continuously collaborating with the writers of the Deadpool film. This should prove interesting.
- Brian Michael Bendis’ graphic novel Fire will be adapted. Zac Efron will star. Uh.
- Scott Pilgrim Takes On The World will come out August 13th. It’s official.
- NBC will now be doing another superhero related drama. It’s called The Cape and it sounds exactly like Powers (which is also being turned into a TV show). No foolies.
- Does this link lead to a bunch of concept art for Green Lantern? (Spoiler: Yes. Yes it does. KILOWOG!)
- Anna Kendrick, who plays Scott Pilgrim’s sister Stacy in the film, says that movie is Ferris Bueller meets Kill Bill.
- Louis Leterrier, the director of Incredible Hulk, is not sure of Edward Norton will be in the Avengers movie.
Oh. And P.S.? Here’s the trailer for The Losers. Awesome.
