Multiversity is Looking for New Members to Our Team

The Eisner-nominated Multiversity Comics continues to grow by leaps and bounds, generating our biggest traffic months with ease recently and earning praise from both creators and industry pundits. Additionally, as regular readers are probably aware, last week we held a survey to get a better idea of what our readers are looking for, and after some good, lengthy internal discussions about the results we are now looking to expand with some new teammates to help us reach even higher heights.

In short, we could be looking for you.

In particular, Multiversity is looking for new members to our review staff. Our review team is one of the best in the business, but we’re looking to expand the team both in size and in breadth of focus. We are looking for reviewers of all varieties, but we’re looking for those interested in manga and webcomics, as these are both things we wish to expand our coverage on.

In general, though, we’re looking for those who are passionate about comics, and can convey that passion in their writing. The motto of the site is “By people who love comics, for people who love comics,” and that’s not changed today.

Of course, the caveat to this is that Multiversity is a website that as of yet does not make any money, which means that we can not afford to pay anyone (literally anyone, as our editors do not even get paid). As it currently stands, writing for Multiversity really is for people who are into the idea presented by our site motto; while there are certainly benefits to working with us (such as exposure, various sneak peeks from things we’re working on and more), the main compensation we could offer you is a plateau to help spread the gospel of comics, as that is — to us — the main reason we do this ourselves.

If you’re okay with that and still interested, please email matthew@multiversitycomics.com with writing samples and insight into the books you enjoy. We’re looking for original perspectives and diversity in ideas, and if you think you have what it takes to join the Multiversity team, then we look forward to hearing from you.
