We’ve long been chronicling the adventures of the site Thwipster, from its early incarnation as a deal-based site to its disappearance and then return. It’s one of our favorite sites from a concept perspective, and the content has been there to back it up.

And with Thwipster on its way back, we reached out to see if they had anything they wanted to share with our readers — and now, as the last event in our fifth anniversary celebration, we’re going to show you exactly what you have in store when the website returns.

Here to tell you all about Thwipster 2.0 is Thwipster’s Lance Sells. Take it away, Lance:

“The easiest way to find cool stuff.”

We’re creating a site that’ll house the best stuff out there that you can buy. The best comics, toys, movies, art, etc. will all be on Thwipster for people to find, share & buy.

Even though we’re going to fill the site with stuff that we think is amazing one of the features we’re working on is that anyone can add products to Thwipster. So if you’re a creator of a product or you just found something you love you can add it to the site and share it.

One thing that is carrying over from Thwipster 1.0(if you’re old enough to remember) is we’ll be adding in humor to the site and never take things too seriously. The first thing on my roadmap is “be weird and have fun”. So expect things to happen on the site periodically.

If you haven’t yet, be sure to sign up for Thwipster 2.0 here and now. Thwipster 2.0 is launching in beta soon. Keep your eyes peeled on the site for more updates. Be sure to check out Harmony Party as well, from the same team as Thwipster.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
