Namor: The First Mutant to End With Issue #11

In a somewhat unsurprising turn of events, famed writer Stuart Moore has confirmed in an interview with Comic Book Resources that the latest attempt at an ongoing series for Namor has been cancelled as of June’s Issue #11. This would be the point in the post where I’d break out the “dead in the water” and “sub-mariner has sunk” one-liners, but as a Namor fan it’s somewhat disappointing to see yet another attempt at making the character relevant on an ongoing basis fall short. That said, the book started out on rough footing to begin with as a Curse of the Mutants (AKA Mutants vs. Vampires) tie-in and never really found its voice or its audience.
