Today at Bleeding Cool, they have an (excellent) interview up with the always frank and honest publisher of Image Comics, Eric Stephenson. While the interview itself is great, I was drawn to a random note during a question about the Womanthology project. In Stephenson’s answer, he shared this nugget about the Artist August featured Natalie Nourigat:
A couple days later, Natalie Nourigat asked if Image would be interested in publishing her autobio comic Between Gears. Done and done. She was recommended to us by Emi Lenox, because we published her Emitown book here, and she’s working on the second volume of that, plus a new monthly series.
In our interview intro, I said that it isn’t a question of if Tally will make her break in the industry, but when. With her autobio comic being published by Image expect her name to be a big one in the industry this time next year. Congrats to Tally – we can’t wait to see your book!
