Promising to be the best looking, finest dressed and most interesting (at least from a facial hair standpoint) comic interview series around, “From the Gutters” is a new web series debuting in October from host Jamie S. Rich (It Girl and the Atomics, You Have Killed Me) and producers Ryan McClusky and Martin Vavra, and it promises one hell of a guest list and inside look in its first “season.”
The trailer at the top shares not just that list – which includes Image Comics publisher Eric Stephenson, artist Mike Allred, colorist Dave Stewart, artist Ming Doyle, and more – but a look at what they’ll be giving us. For example, Rich will be interviewing Michael Avon Oeming from his home studio, it appears, giving us an inside look at not just the thoughts and ideas of today’s best and brightest, but at their process and world as well. Filmed from Portland, a fertile land of comic book creators, this series promises to be a great one, and if you’re into comics I highly recommend catching it upon arrival.
